5 Must Do’s in Paris

Paris – the city of lights! Whether you’re a jet setter or a homebody Paris is a must do destination! I visited Paris 2 years ago and it was quite an eventful trip. This was my second time in Paris so I had an idea of what I’d like to do and what to expect. I pre-booked all my tours and trips through a company called Viator.

There’s lots to do and see in Paris but here are my five MUST Do’s in the city of lights.

1. Climb the Eiffel Tower
The Eiffel Tower is a global landmark and any trip to Paris wouldn’t be complete without a visit to the tower.  You have the option of going to the second floor or all the way to the top. I recommend the summit, you get to access all floors this way.

2. Stroll along the Champs-Élysées

The Champs-Élysées is one of the most famous streets in the world with luxury shops and restaurants and the Arc de Triomphe. While you’re on the boulevard be sure to check out the Annick Goutal store. It’s like every little girl’s dream. The staff are friendly and welcoming, and let you try out a perfume for the day. If you like it, come back the next day and splurge.

3. Visit the Louvre
The Louvre houses many famous works of art including the Mona Lisa. For better access to Mona, opt for a Sunday evening small group tour – you won’t have to compete with hundreds of others to get a glimpse of her mystic smile.

4. Tour the Champagne region
France is famous for its wines, especially Champagne. Take a small group tour of the champagne region- learn how it’s made and how it tastes by touring a winery and champagne house.

5. Treat yourself at Ladurée
Ladurée
is a famous macaroon shop in Paris. Try one of their signature treats and pick up some sweet souvenirs for the flight home. If you missed Laduree in the city don’t fret – they do have a shop in the airport as well.
